Hey everyone! I'm back! But not to really post about sunday, but rather my thoughts on screwtape letters. Hahah. Auggie, John and myself missed about half the show, due to band prac. Hahaha. But at least I caught the second half of the show.
I thought the show was interesting in the sense that it was different from most plays that I've watched. The setting was dark and mysterious. Personally, I find these kind of plays mind-bogging, and interesting. Screwtape, (played by Dick Su) was a senior demon trying to mentor Wormwood, an inexperienced tempter. He uses various methods of tempting 'the Patient' and trying to get 'The Patient' to sin.
The play made me think. About how the devil is trying to make us mortals sin. It shows how much the devils want to confuse us and later, making us sin. For failing to get 'The Patient' into hell, Screwtape is angry with Wormwood and later punishes him.
Overall, the play was very much enjoyable, though there were some dreary parts. There were some funny parts too! So it was awesome. And I bet everyone who went had a great time! :D
Cheers.
