Heyyyy:D Hahaha okay for those who didnt go for GDOP, you all missed out on alot.
Krist: I agree! It was a great time, like a huge worship partay.
Did ushering for the first time ever, felt quite important! But it was all service for God as well. The ushers had quite a fun time i suppose. Firstly we had to distribute flags on all the chairs, which was quite entertaining as we were all fighting over the chairs. After that (rather tiring) piece of work, we had to guard the entrances to the balcony. Which was rather slack:D Hahaha. When the people could finally go up, then we got busy again.
WORSHIP!
The worship and songs chosen for the GDOP was very impactful, especially since the music was so gooood. One of the most impactful songs to me was 'Great Awakening' (i think thats the song title lah). But the lyrics really meant alot to me.
Followed by that were a few mini-sermons by various pastors. Some of the sermons, especially Reverend Edmund Chan's one, made me realise a few things. Are we actually giving all we are to God? Or are we holding back stuff. Cause God wants every single part of us. But no matter how imperfect we were, God still loves us. Arent we blessed or what!
Basically, in a nutshell this is what happened lahh.
And since it was the Global Day of Prayer, there inevitably would be prayer. We prayed for alot of things such as government, and even people not in Singapore, such as those in the Myanmar disaster.
SOOOOOO, if you missed this year's GDOP, you really missed alot.
Which means, you should go next year:D

Kristin here with the pictures! :D Well, obviously.
The whole event was so phenomenal right from the start. The music was just so contagious that we were singing while working, singing even when there isn't any music! So psyched!
It was really really awesome and I think that even though it was held in the indoor stadium (smaller than previous years hence lesser people), the amount of heart put into worshipping and praying wasn't any lesser than last year's.

And sadly, we take leave from a beautiful meaningful night.
We were definitely still high even after the event. (:
Yes, that's how good it was. And will continue to be in years to come! :D
