Hey Everyone!!
It's been a llllllooooonnnnnggggg time since I blogged.
Guess what ... the few paragraphs below have been kept in the "draft" since 6 months ago!!! Yes!! I've left this blog entry unfinished .... I first wrote this after the Youth Sunday in July. But as I read through it now, I begin to see God @ work amongst LKYouths since then!! Isn't this kool?!? I've left the title unchanged. Check it out ....

Yo LKYouths! WUZ UPPP!
It's been sometime since I shared on the Youth Ministry and I think it's about time I drop a few liners as a review of all that's happened in the 1st half of 2007 and where I believe the Lord is leading us to.
In Oct 2006, the Mentors and Youth Leaders huddled together to pen down their dreams for the youth ministry. These are displayed in the form of a mahjong paper @ the noticeboard. Some of these dreams are:
1. Authentic Youth Ministry
2. Passionate Youth Leaders
3. Youths that cannot stop hanging out with one another
4.

Guess wat .... I believe these dreams have already been fulfilled!!! Hallelujah!!!
On a serious note ....
Year 2007 was very eventful especially the month of Dec. It's seemed like God had been building ... building ... building us up to culminate in the last month of 2007. However, I'm not referring to events and we've had a fair bunch of them starting with
(i) Youth Camp
**CROSSING the LINE**
(ii) Isaan Mission Trip
(iii) Xmas Party
ending with ...
(iv) Thanksgiving Dinner
*whew*
I'm referring to IDENTITY. God is building up a Youth Culture within LK, "to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." Titus 2:14
1. Youths that desire real relationships with God. Not satisfied with "ok lor". Not satisfied with "that's what my parents/pastor/mentors say". Not satisfied with "this is what the world is telling me".... but desire an intensely personal relationship with God!
Convince yourselves that God is .... God! Strip away the packages that we've "boxed" HIM in. If God is God, we cannot begin to imagine how BIG HE really is.
To whom, then, will you compare God?
What image will you compare him to? Isaiah 40:18
Youths that are not satisfied with "lukewarm". Youths that sing "my Redeemer lives" because we believe it is so and not because of its pop tune/beat.
2. Youths that desire real relationship with each other. No more just talk about "ehh ... what game are you playing on PSP ehhh" or "what's that kool riff you're playing". Lets get real. Remember our first video session of Fuel2, when asked by the teacher "so what do you believe" there was this guy in the drama who answered, " Well, nobody talk about such stuff!!"
Well .... we do talk about such stuff because these stuff really matters. This is what church is about ... not the white walls, not the carpet flooring, not the air-condition. Just plain & simple ..... doing life together .... the good, the bad & the ugly.
You know what guyz/gals .... check out Jesus' comments on the 2 points above:

I think we're ready for "solid food".
So what's installed for yr 2008?
I dunno ... but I cannot wait to find out : )
